Sweet BeautyHoney has been used for medicinal and cosmetic purposes for thousands of years. Here are a couple of ideas for including honey in your beauty regimen. Cleopatra enjoyed milk and honey baths -- Try a yogurt and honey body butter application! After 10 minutes, apply oatmeal or poppy seeds, rub in the exfoliate while rinsing off. Josephine Bonaparte used a vinegar and honey rinse to keep her long thick hair shiny and manageable. Try this now and you'll get the same result at a bargain price compared to the cost of most chemical saturated conditioners. Try a Honey Facial: warm 2 tablespoons of honey, massage into skin, wait 5 minutes, wash off. Make an exfoliating facial masque by mixing equal parts of French Clay (available at most health food stores) and Honey. (Can't find French clay? Use raw oatmeal that has been swirled in a blender for a moment to chop into fine pieces.) Honey blended with lemon juice and massaged into elbows and knees will soften and lighten old skin to allow easy exfoliation.
